About Us

The power behind this entire business begins with our mold dog Scout! Scout is a two year old Catahoula Leopard Dog. Catahoulas are a hunting breed which means Scout is genetically driven to use his nose! When Scout isn't working, he loves cuddling his family, rough housing with his best pup friends, or just adventuring outdoors.

Scout is not just any mold detection dog. He passed a rigorous test confirming his exceptional genetic abilities for scent work. Trained by Russ Bishop at Rival K9 who is P.O.S.T certified, which is endorsed by the U.S. Supreme Court for expertise in dog psychology and behavior. Scout stands out in mold detection.

The other half of the equation is our Owner, CEO, and k9 Handler- Daria!

Daria wears all of the hats when it comes to running this business but her favorite by far is getting to handle and work with her dog.

Daria has always looked at health as a way of getting to the source of the problem rather than treating the symptoms. When she came across research on mold toxicity and so many of the symptoms were ones she related to - her two worlds collided. A way to work with her dog AND bring safety to peoples health and lives. Thus- The Mold Mutts was born.

When Daria isn't working, she loves spending time with her husband and both of their pups adventuring on hikes or hanging outside.
